abstract: This document describes the state of the art and the perspectives of network connectivity between Europe and Asia. A specific attention is dedicated to the connectivity with China where several partners of the EUChinaGRID project are located. An update of the present document is also foreseen in the first quarter of the next year (2007) describing the relevant improvements to the connectivity that are planned by new projects like ORIENT.
