abstract: Security is one of the most important factors that will determine the success or failure of Grid technologies in the long term. The Grid Architects need to design secure, interoperable infrastructures that will ensure the users’ privacy and the safety of their data, while retaining the ubiquitous nature of the Grid. This document provides an overview of the current standards and best practices in Grid Security.
