Dissemination is of strategic importance to introduce state of the art grid technologies and services to the EUChinaGRID community.
Within the framework of WP5, a number of measures are undertaken in order to:

  • Dissemination of knowledge to communities which have already shown interest in Grids for their applications (i.e. the pilot communities already contacted and the ones individuated by WP5).
  • Wider dissemination activities to discover and attract new scientific communities which have not yet evaluated grid as a possible opportunity.
  • Creation of a human network based on the previous contacts, which will eventually enlarge the communities (in number and consistence).

Within the scope of A5.2 (Dissemination of advanced knowledge activities) high-level expertise is delivered to the EUChinaGRID users in order to enlarge their initial community and address the need of advanced users for in-depth technical knowledge and update sessions about new services and functionalities. One of the main tools to accomplish such objectives are face-to-face and distant tutorials.

During the first year, first tutorials were held in Beijing and Rome. The results of the first experiences are shown in the graphics below:

HIGHLIGHTS

The EUChinaGRID project officially ended on 31 March 2008, after 27 months of activity and a number of goals achieved.

However, the project consortium is planning further collaboration activities for the next few months.
